2024 was a big year for growth
We had 19 combined fights in both Muay Thai and MMA.
As a team we competed in roughly 16 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments giving students the opportunity for hundreds of matches and experience. When we weren't competing as a team we got to watch our teammates compete and win Jiujitsu super fights both locally and on the international scene!
Then to wrap up the year, we knew we needed to be bigger and better for you guys so we packed up and closed our doors to our garden level 1600 sq foot gym and expanded our mat space to a beautiful third floor location overlooking Newbury street providing you guys just over 3000 sqft of space to train.
We hosted several Ironman's.
When it's time to promote students we host a belting ceremony we call an Ironman where students have to roll, sub only, with every single teammate. Congratulations to your hard work this year Raf, Jason, Liam, Jeremy, Kieran, Efim, Niko, George, Mitch, Dudz, James F, Maren, and Perez.
Competed in local jiujitsu tournaments.
One of many tournaments that we showed up to as a team!
Driven out of state for Muay Thai tournaments.
Some of the boys packed in an drove to CT to hit up a local Muay Thai tournament to get some reps in. Jacobo, Hazim, Ales and Quin
Flown out of state to compete on the world scene.
Jeff Roger and Jason have all competed on the IBJJF World scene with some amazing performances. This past May Jason made the podium taking 3rd in the Gi on the world stage (while previously taking first in No-Gi the December before).
Stepped in the ring to test our skill.
We had several students compete in Muay Thai competitions at No Boundary in Melrose. Everett, Eric, Neil, Jeremy, Ales, Ruben, and Malik all trained for weeks to step into the ring!
Fought in a cage in front of hundreds of people.
We stepped into the cage 12 times this year!
Our coaches lead from the front.
Coach Roger really set his goals high this past year on the level up, he competed in half a dozen super fights throughout the country with incredible performances. He faced some of the highest level of competition and proved he belongs to be there.
Lastly, we uprooted our mats and moved to the penthouse!
But we didn't move too far, we're now located just above Trident booksellers on the third floor. We have tons of natural light and double the mat space.
It was one hell of a ride..
and we couldn't have done it without all of you.
On to the next, always forward.
